Case Study: Exhibits/Tradeshows |
| Crated exhibit materials moved regularly during a three-year tour of various U.S. Museums.
| The customer wanted to reduce transportation costs
and improve product handling. The customer had
experienced product damages, late truck deliveries
and a lack of warehousing space at certain times of
the year.
| Assembled a core group of drivers dedicated to the
pick-up and delivery of the exhibit for the entire tour.
These drivers traveled together as a team, following
each other in a caravan, to ensure they were on
time at origin and destination each time the exhibit
was moved. Because the same drivers always handled
the product and moved as a team, damages and late
deliveries were eliminated. Our ability to work together
with other logistics providers allowed us to find and
use warehouse space during the peak summer
months for movers.

| Contracting with a dedicated team of drivers for the entire
tour reduced costs and late deliveries. A team approach
and regular handling of the product eliminated product
damages. Access to the warehouses of other providers
supplied available storage space during peak season.
